PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Also known under the term project manager, project leader, is the sole responsibility of the planning and successful execution of any project. This title is used in the construction industry, architecture, software development and occupations that rely on the generation or maintenance of a product.

The project manager must possess a combination of skills including a high inquisitive capacity, to detect unspecified assumptions and resolve interpersonal conflicts. One of its most important tasks is to recognize the risks that directly affect the likelihood of success of the project, and the constant measurement, formally and informally of set risk throughout the project life cycle. The risk is presented mostly as uncertainty. The successful project manager is one who focuses this as main concern. Most of the problems that affect a project are related in one way or another to a risk. A good project manager can reduce risk significantly, often by adhering to a policy of open communication, ensuring that every significant participant has an opportunity to express their views and concerns. A project manager is responsible for taking the necessary decisions so that the risk is controlled and uncertainty minimized. Every decision made by the project manager must involve a direct benefit to the project.
